Contextual Strategy worked with TECHO to synchronize their countries' web, social media, and international media presence and establish a multinational communication strategy using Spanish, Portuguese, and English to reach residents of Latin American slums.

World Central Kitchen - Washington, D.C., USA and Port au Prince, HaitiWorld Central Kitchen is a multinational nonprofit founded by celebrity chef José Andrés, using culinary arts training and food service development as solutions to hunger and poverty in the Caribbean, Latin America, and Africa. Contextual Strategy worked with World Central Kitchen to increase brand awareness, promote fundraising events, and create content for their website, social media, and traditional media, reaching chefs and their culinary students in the U.S., Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Zambia.

The Women's Foundation of California - Sacramento, CA, USAThe Women's Foundation of California aims to help create a California where women and children are economically secure and are empowered as leaders of change. Their annual Women's Policy Institute has trained more than 400 grassroots leaders to participate actively in state and local policy processes. Contextual Strategy works annually with the Women's Policy Institute fellows on the Digital Organizing component of their Institute training. Together, they craft comprehensive digital organizing strategies for state policies and became familiar with best practices for email marketing platforms, online petitions, and social media.

Black Lives Matter - multiple cities, USAThe Black Lives Matter Global Network (BLM) is a chapter-based, member-led organization that began on social media with a hashtag, and quickly became a world-recognized theme for local power and Black liberation. Contextual Strategy worked with Black Lives Matter on digital strategy, member training, and creative direction for social media publicity and organizing campaigns. We also worked to successfully grow engagement among followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by more than 200% in three months.

Black44 Obama Alumni Network - multiple cities, USABlack44 is an affinity group of the African-American and Black appointees who served in the Administration of President Barack Obama. The Black44 network provides professional development and continued legacy work through service. Contextual Strategy worked with Black44 to provide digital communications strategy and graphic design services to the Network. Our priorities were to provide the technology used to continue post-Administration impact, and to ensure that all aspects of visual presentation matched the caliber of the group. We worked with the core team to establish contact database and email systems to support the network, and a suite of visual branding materials, including logo design, email newsletter design templates, invitations, presentations, signage, and program design for their annual professional development conferences.

Achieving the Dream - Silver Spring, MD, USAAchieving the Dream is a higher education reform network that works to improve skills, employment, and economic growth for diverse populations of community college students - particularly low-income students and students of color in more than 200 institutions of higher education across the country. Contextual Strategy worked with Achieving the Dream to develop and present their organizational strategy for achieving sustainable financial targets, and to identify and engage partners for corporate social responsibility and identified mutual workforce development needs.

Vendetta Nail Bar - Los Angeles, CAVendetta Nail Bar (VNB) is an all-natural, vegan, cruelty-free nail polish line for all people. Contextual Strategy worked with VNB to provide an e-commerce website and growth marketing strategy services. The functional platform allows the company to easily manage online sales themselves, and the implemented marketing strategy increases their sales in more nail salons across the US. We also worked with the VNB core team to design all visual branding materials, including logos, product packaging, website, and sales campaigns.

Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle - Baltimore, MD, USALeaders of a Beautiful Struggle (LBS) is a grassroots think-tank which advances the public policy interests of Black people in Baltimore, Maryland. Contextual Strategy worked with LBS on a digital policy engagement campaign using Facebook and Twitter, identifying key messaging and targets, engaging key stakeholders online, designing shareable social media graphics, planning and publishing posts, and establishing a Twitter chat for wider involvement. The day-long digital campaign generated new followers, widened support for policy bill H.B. 1390, and a spike in engagement for the organization.

M.A.N.U.P. - Takoma Park, MD, Takoma, and Washington, D.C., USAMaking a New United People (M.A.N.U.P.) is a non-profit mentoring organization created to encourage and support inner-city minority youth in educational achievement and to provide support and prevention against youth violence and incarceration. Contextual Strategy worked with M.A.N.U.P. to build a strategy for training youth mentors, attracting youth to the program, and engaging community partners.
